"A newly unveiled mural in central Tehran depicts US President Donald Trump with his mouth sealed shut by an image resembling the Strait of Hormuz, as the ongoing naval blockade over the strategic passage continues. Footage on Saturday shows the massive artwork towering over Vali Asr Square, featuring the phrase 'At the breaking point' displayed on the mural. "As an Iranian, I am proud that we were once again able to demonstrate our dignity and credibility through this very beautiful mural, to those who claim to be world superpowers and openly say they own the world. But now we see that those who claim to own the world, we have managed to bend them," said Mohsen Nazari, a Tehran resident. "[This is] a message for that dog [Trump] that has come into the Gulf and is barking; it should know that Iranians stand like lions. […] Defeat is meaningless for us. Defeat is for those who came from the other side of the world and claim power here," added Rezaei. The Iranian government has repeatedly used murals to send warning messages to its opponents and enemies, most recently last February, when a mural appeared in Palestine Square in central Tehran, depicting a map of Israel, a launch button and models of missiles and drones, amidst threats of military action against Iran on the eve of war. On April 8, Trump announced a two-week truce with Iran to allow for negotiations aimed at reaching an agreement to end the crisis, before later extending it 'until Tehran submits its proposals', without specifying a timeframe. Islamabad hosted a round of negotiations between the US and Iran on 11 April, mediated by Pakistan, but these failed to yield any results, and the second round scheduled between the two countries has not yet taken place, whilst diplomatic efforts in this regard continue. Since then, Tehran has restricted traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, whilst the US Navy has maintained its blockade of Iranian ports, despite the ceasefire agreement. On Friday, President Trump stated he was 'not satisfied' with Iran's latest proposal, sent via Pakistani mediators, with reports indicating it was linked to efforts to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. The US and Israel launched a joint military operation against Iran on February 28, and Iran responded with strikes on Israeli territory and US interests in the region."
