MANILA, Philippines — The Presidential Task Force on Media Security (PTFOMS) on Sunday committed to addressing the red-tagging of journalists and the misuse of libel and cyber libel laws as the country observed World Press Freedom Day. “We acknowledge the concerns raised regarding ‘red-tagging’ and the alleged targeting of independent media outlets,” PTFOMS Executive Director Jose Torres Jr. said in a statement.
