Cop shot while serving arrest warrant in Quirino

CABARROGUIS, Quirino — A police officer was shot by a man while he and his colleagues were serving an arrest warrant against the suspect in Disimungal, Nagtipunan, Quirino, on Saturday night, May 2, police said Sunday. Injured was Patrolman Jimboy Erang, who was hit by an improvised pellet gun. Erang was given first aid at the Disimungal village hall and later brought to the Maddela District Hospital in Diduyon, Maddela. He was later transferred to the Southern Isabela Medical Center (SIMC) in Santiago City for treatment and surgery.
