"Colombian authorities seized a shipment of 350 kilograms of cocaine this Sunday in the department of La Guajira, in the north of the country. According to information released by the National Police of Colombia through social media, the drug, valued at 1.920 billion Colombian pesos (around 527 thousand dollars), was found inside a vehicle and is equivalent to 875,000 doses on the market. So far, the authorities have not provided further details on the matter. On April 20, the National Police seized more than half a ton of cocaine hidden in a tractor-trailer with an estimated value of 3.7 billion Colombian pesos (more than 1 million dollars). La Guajira is a key drug trafficking area in Colombia due to its strategic location in the Caribbean, bordering Venezuela, and extensive coasts for maritime shipments to the U.S., Europe, and the Caribbean."
