ABC The cast of the sitcom Boy Meets World have paid their tributes following the death of David Kendall, who was a writer, director,and executive producer on the show. Kendall’s death at age 68 was announced on the Pod Meets World podcast, which is hosted by Danielle Fishel, Ryder Strong, and Will Friedle, who played the characters of Topanga Lawrence, Shawn Hunter, and Eric Matthew, respectively. The trio said they were “devastated” to have lost such an important person in their lives, both professionally and personally, and credited him with being “instrumental” in the creation of Boy Meets World . The stars said they kept in touch with Kendall in the years after the show ended in 2000. “We have lost a vital piece of our family–but we ask that the next time you watch the show, especially Seasons 2 & 3 (when he served as Showrunner), you think of our beloved Kendall,” the May 2 Instagram caption said. Kendall is credited as a director or producer in numerous other popular sitcoms, such as Hannah Montana , Growing Pains , and Melissa & Joey . A cause of death has not been disclosed.
