BSP eases bank access to cash during calamities

MANILA, Philippines – The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) has approved a temporary relief measure allowing banks that are not yet registered in the payment and currency management systems to withdraw cash directly during calamities and emergencies. This access to cash from the central bank aims to ensure that these banks can meet currency needs when normal systems are disrupted.
