MANILA, Philippines — Kanlaon Volcano in Negros Island emitted grayish ash plumes reaching up to 800 meters above the summit crater early Tuesday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs). The ash emission events were recorded at 5:32 a.m. and 6:01 a.m., with plumes drifting west, based on monitoring by the Kanlaon Volcano Observatory in Canlaon City.
