MANILA, Philippines — The main trial of the Sandiganbayan in the malversation case of former Sen. Bong Revilla and his co-accused began on Tuesday. Witnesses were already called to testify last month, but only for the bail hearing, when the defense had to prove that the evidence against the accused is not strong enough to justify their continued detention. The non-bailable case stems from an alleged ghost flood control project in Pandi, Bulacan, worth P92.8 million.
