CEBU CITY, Philippines — Malacañang has declared May 6 to 8, 2026, as special non-working days in Lapu-Lapu City and Cordova town to support security and traffic management for the 48th ASEAN Summit in Cebu. In Proclamation No. 1238, signed on May 4, Malacañang authorized the temporary suspension of work across Mactan Island, which would host foreign delegates and high-level meetings.
