MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Agriculture (DA) on Tuesday said it is already implementing augmented measures to contain the rise in food prices amid the oil crisis caused by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. The DA made the pronouncement after food inflation climbed to 6.1 percent in April, which is more than double the 2.7 percent recorded in March.
