"Turkey unveiled its Yildirimhan intercontinental hypersonic missile on the sidelines of the SAHA 2026 defence exhibition in Istanbul on Tuesday. Footage shows Turkish Defence Minister Yasar Guler touring the exhibition with other officials before addressing the media. "We now have our country’s first liquid-fuelled missile capable of hypersonic flight, and it is the longest-range missile we have produced so far," Guler said. "Among the systems we produced this year is our PNR 53 sniper rifle, which stands out as the lightest weapon in its class in the world and has a maximum firing range of 2,100 metres. We are proud to showcase these products to you today," he continued. The Yildirimhan is designed to have an estimated range of around 6,000 kilometres. It uses liquid fuel based on nitrogen tetroxide and is powered by four rocket engines. The SAHA 2026 International Defence, Aviation, and Aerospace Exhibition opened on Tuesday at the Istanbul Expo Centre and will run until May 9. This year's edition, organised by the SAHA Istanbul Defence Companies Consortium, is being held over a total area of 400,000 square meters, with expected participation from more than 120 countries and 1,700 companies, including 263 foreign firms, in addition to over 200,000 visitors and 30,000 industry professionals. The exhibition brings together numerous companies, their representatives, official and commercial delegations, as well as visitors from around the world."
