Samsung has confirmed that it will indeed be launching a Galaxy A27 into the market. Back in March Samsung unveiled its latest mid-range smartphone line, prompting me to ask this question: Where on earth is the Samsung Galaxy A27 ? While we received news of a Samsung Galaxy A57 and a Samsung Galaxy A37 (pictured together below), there was no sign of the budget model that was expected to prop up the whole range. We’ve since received reports that confirm a Samsung Galaxy A27 is indeed in the works, and now Samsung itself has settled the question. This isn’t an official announcement, as such, but Dutch website GalaxyClub has spotted a mention of the device over on Samsung’s Brazilian website . The Galaxy A27 is listed right there in the compatibility section of a post concerning the Samsung Wallet payment app. Chris Hall / Foundry Samsung Galaxy A27 specs Last month the Samsung Galaxy A27 popped up in the popular Geekbench benchmarking tool, revealing both its existence and the fact it would run on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip. That’s the processor that runs the Samsung Galaxy A36 , thus continuing Samsung’s trickle-down technology policy. We also learned that it would come with 6GB of RAM, though there’s a chance there’ll be a higher 8GB option. We’ve even received a strong indication of what the Samsung Galaxy A27 will look like, thanks to leaked renders . If accurate, these suggest that the Samsung Galaxy A27 is in for a big design upgrade, with a shift away from the cheap-looking teardrop notch, and a reduced chin size. Elsewhere it’s been rumoured that the Samsung Galaxy A27 will pack a 6.7-inch FHD+ LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro camera. We’re still waiting to hear whether it’s been subject to the same price hike that affected the Samsung Galaxy A57. If not, the Galaxy A27 could well prove to be a more enticing prospect than the Samsung Galaxy A37 .
