CID takes over probe into killing of Suvendu Adhikari’s aide ahead of Bengal swearing-in ceremony

The Criminal Investigation Department is investigating the murder of Chandranath Rath, personal assistant to Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari. Rath was shot dead in Madhyamgram, North 24 Parganas. The incident occurred two days after the BJP's election victory. Rath's driver was also injured. A four-wheeler with a fake number plate was seized from the scene.
