"The US Department of War on Friday began releasing what officials described as 'never-before-seen' declassified files related to Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), following an executive order from Donald Trump aimed at expanding public access to government records on unexplained sightings. The video features footage and still images of some of the more outlandish cases documented, including a 'metallic' orb, the drawn outline of naked skeleton figure, and some lights visible from the Moon. Reports state that the materials, released through a newly-launched Pentagon 'UFO' website, include infrared military videos of unidentified aerial objects, archival photographs taken during the Apollo 12 Moon Landing mission, investigation documents and still images showing so-called 'areas of interest' identified by astronauts in 1969. Other material includes photos extracted from military aircraft footage, reports compiled by investigators and unusual imagery contained within FBI and Department of Defence files. According to the Pentagon, the release includes 162 files from the FBI, Department of Defence, NASA and the State Department, consisting of 120 PDF documents, 28 videos and 14 image files detailing sightings and investigations spanning decades across multiple countries. Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth said in a statement, "These files, hidden behind classifications, have long fueled justified speculation — and it's time the American people see it for themselves." Trump said the disclosure was intended to provide “complete and maximum transparency” regarding unexplained aerial phenomena. "Whereas previous Administrations have failed to be transparent on this subject, with these new Documents and Videos, the people can decide for themselves, 'WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?'" Trump wrote on Truth Social. 'Have Fun and Enjoy!' he added, The documents contain eyewitness testimony, military assessments and reports of unexplained objects observed by pilots, astronauts and civilians, though officials stressed that the release does not confirm the existence of extraterrestrial life. Experts, however, have expressed skepticism, suggesting that while the data is interesting, it is unlikely to provide definitive proof of extraterrestrial life, often pointing toward optical phenomena or alleged secret defence programmes instead."
