Filipinos top list of migrants who feel homesick, study finds

MANILA, Philippines — For many Filipinos starting over abroad, homesickness can hit without warning — and a Remitly survey suggests they report it more than migrants anywhere else, with 96.15% saying they have felt it at some point. The research, which surveyed 3,100 migrants across 21 countries, found Filipino migrants experienced the “strongest feelings of homesickness,” according to Remitly, a financial service provider.
