Fifteen people have been taken to the hospital after a reported boat explosion in Miami this afternoon, according to local fire officials. The Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said that more 25 units responded to a medical call regarding an incident near the Haulover Sandbar area. Due to the sheer number of patients and the department's need for additional resources, MDFR were forced to upgrade the call to a Level 2 Mass Casualty Incident. Upon arrival, fire crews found multiple patients on scene, where a total of fifteen patients were then transported to a local hospital for further care.
