MANILA, Philippines— President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Sunday took to social media to greet first lady Liza Araneta-Marcos on Mother’s Day, highlighting her love and patience for their family. “To my dear Liza, Happy Mother’s Day. I have watched you love this family for years, not out of a Mother's duty but out of a Mother's love. Our boys could not have asked for a more loving mother, and I could not have asked for a better partner to walk through life with,” Marcos said in the caption of a video montage of his wife. “Thank you for holding our family together with so much love and patience through every season of our lives. We love you, always,” he added. In an earlier separate post, the president also paid tribute to all mothers and praised them for their love and sacrifices. “You are the light of the home and the pillar of every Filipino family. With your care, patience, and unparalleled love, our home, community, and nation are stronger,” he said in Filipino. “This Mother’s Day, I sincerely honor and thank all mothers. Thank you for the love you offer every day for your family and for our children,” he added.
