Korea's exports jumped 43.7 percent from a year earlier in the first 10 days of May, data showed Monday. Outbound shipments reached US$18.4 billion in the May 1-10 period, compared with $12.8 billion tallied in the same period last year, according to the data from the Korea Customs Service. Imports went up 14.9 percent on-year to $16.7 billion over the cited period, resulting in a trade surplus of $1.7 billion, the latest data showed.
