CM congratulates nation on ‘Bunyan-un-Marsoos’ victory

LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif congratulated the nation on the victory in “Bunyan-un-Marsoos”, declaring that Pakistan had crushed the arrogance of anyone daring to cross the country’s “red line”. While addressing the “Maarka-e-Haq Solidarity Ceremony” held at Wagah Border on completion of one year of Maarka-e-Haq, the chief minister said: “Today we stand at the threshold from where Pakistan’s border begins. This red line is not confined to this place alone; it is drawn in the hearts of Pakistanis.” She said whoever dreamt of crossing this red line had seen their arrogance reduced to dust by Pakistan. “When the enemy attacked, Pakistan demonstrated that we are all Bunyan-un-Marsoos,” she added. CM Punjab said the 250 million people of Pakistan were “a wall of molten lead” standing united with the armed forces. She paid tribute to the martyrs of the Pakistan Army, saying they sacrificed their lives to protect the country, its soil and its people. “I salute the mothers of the martyrs who buttoned up their sons’ uniforms and told them not to hesitate in sacrificing their lives if the homeland required it,” she said. She also paid tribute to the wives and children of martyrs for their sacrifices. The chief minister said martyrs were alive as promised in the Holy Quran, adding that they were in a place blessed with Allah Almighty’s mercy where there was neither grief nor fear. She said victory never came alone, but included all those who stayed awake at night worrying about the country and whose hearts beat for Pakistan. Paying tribute to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif said he ignored global pressure and made Pakistan a nuclear power by the grace of Allah. She added that the JF Thunder aircraft, which Pakistan proudly possessed today, were also developed during his tenure. She also praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for stabilising the national economy and elevating Pakistan’s stature internationally. The chief minister lauded Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for safeguarding the trust of 250 million Pakistanis in the best possible manner and responding to the enemy decisively when the time came. She said the entire nation saluted the Pakistan Army, Navy, Air Force and Rangers for their sacrifices and services. CM Punjab further said Pakistan had also won another war on the global front under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir without firing a bullet or raising a sword. “Whenever history is written, it will record that Pakistan prevented the most dangerous war of three,” she said, adding that countries which once placed Pakistan in the dock were now praising it. Congratulating the nation once again on Pakistan’s victory, she prayed for the country’s progress and prosperity and for the safety of the armed forces and the people of Pakistan. The ceremony was attended by provincial ministers and a large number of citizens. The chief minister laid flowers at the martyrs’ memorial, while patriotic songs stirred emotions and chants of “Pakistan Zindabad” echoed throughout the venue. Copyright Business Recorder, 2026
