Marikina earns CSC pointsfor HR management programs

MARIKINA CITY has earned a Maturity Level 2 recognition from the Civil Service Commission (CSC) under its Prime-HRM program, placing the local government among agencies recognized for institutionalizing merit-based and performance-driven human resource management systems. Mayor Marjorie Ann Teodoro received the recognition during the city government’s flag-raising ceremony on Monday from CSC Director Dick Echavez. The recognition covers four core human resource areas: recruitment, selection and placement; performance management; learning and development; and rewards and recognition. Under the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (Prime-HRM), government agencies are evaluated on how effectively their personnel systems are structured, implemented and sustained. Teodoro said the recognition reflected the city government’s continuing effort to strengthen professionalism and improve public service delivery through employee development and institutional reforms. She said that by “hiring competent and diligent people in the city hall, nurturing our personnel through regular feedback and training, providing assistance to meet their needs, and recognizing their efforts through awards and incentives, we empower them to strive for excellence in service to the people.”
