Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Monday paid tribute to a civilian, Liaqat, who embraced martyrdom while foiling a suicide attack near the Khushhal Garh checkpost located on the border of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In a statement, the interior minister hailed the bravery of Liaqat, a retired railway employee, for sacrificing his life to thwart the “nefarious designs” of militants. “Liaqat set a high example of courage and bravery,” Naqvi said, adding that the civilian’s timely action helped save many innocent lives.
