ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister (DPM/FM) Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Monday spoke with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud on the evolving regional situation and matters of mutual interest. The Saudi Foreign Minister appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role and reiterated support for Islamabad’s efforts aimed at promoting regional peace and stability, particularly in the context of ongoing engagement between Iran and the United States. Both leaders also exchanged views on the importance of safeguarding maritime security, including in the Strait of Hormuz, and agreed to remain in close contact on regional and international developments. UN official calls on Dar Jean Arnault, UN Secretary-General’s Personal Envoy for the Middle East Conflict, called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister (DPM/ FM) Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Monday. Arnault conveyed the UN Secretary General’s deep appreciation for Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts for regional peace and stability, and expressed the UN’s continued support in that regard.
