MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Sara Duterte said that it was not right to arrest Sen. Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa at the Senate using a warrant issued by the International Criminal Court. In an interview with blogger Alvin Zarzate at The Hague on Monday, (Tuesday morning in Manila), Duterte said that the attempt to arrest Dela Rosa was "wrong," comparing it to the arrest of her father, former president Rodrigo Duterte. "Ang isang warrant of arrest galing sa labas ng Pilipinas (na) hindi issued by a Philippine court should be presented in a Philippine court (A warrant of arrest coming from outside the Philippines should be presented in a Philippine court first)," Duterte said. On the leadership change at the Senate that led to the ousting of Sen. Tito Sotto and installation of Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano as Senate president, Duterte said "that is their decision."
