Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology to Take Over Operations of Antarctic Research Ship

With the Antarctic research ship Shirase set to be retired in 2034, the operation of its successor vessel will be handled by the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC), according to a plan revealed by the government.
