5,700 homes hit by power outage in Tsing Yi

Power giant CLP said on Tuesday that around 5,700 households in Tsing Yi experienced an outage on Monday night due to a supply system fault. The incident at 11.51pm left residents of Ching Wah Court and Cheung Hong Estate without electricity. Power supply to more than 90 percent of the affected units was restored 28 minutes after the incident, the company said. The firm added that it arranged temporary power supply to the remaining units before a full resumption at 2.13am. Edited by Thomas McAlinden
