MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Air Force (PAF) on Tuesday denied that a chartered plane was on standby at the Villamor Airbase in Pasay City waiting to transfer Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa to The Hague, Netherlands following the confirmation of an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) against him. “The Philippine Air Force has not received any official directive [regarding the preparation of any aircraft for that purpose],” Col. Maria Christina Basco, PAF spokesman, told reporters in a briefing at Camp Aguinaldo. “We are on white alert status. Reiterating what I said to those who were asking last night, we have normal air, routine operations. That is the status of the Villamor Airbase,” she said.
