Dela Rosa ‘happy to be back’ after absence of half a year

MANILA, Philippines — Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa said on Tuesday he is “happy to be back” in the Senate session hall after six months’ worth of absences. Absent since November 11, 2025, dela Rosa came back to the Senate on Monday and participated in a move to change the Senate leadership. “[I’m] happy to be back,” the senator said when reporters asked how he felt about his return.
