MANILA, Philippines — Some lawmakers who abstained from voting on the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte explained on Tuesday that their decision was meant to preserve the impartiality of senators who may later serve as judges in the impeachment trial. Among them were Reps. Eddie Villanueva of Cibac party-list and Audrey Kay Zubiri of the 3rd District of Bukidnon. Villanueva is the father of Sen. Joel Villanueva while Zubiri is the wife of Sen.
