MANILA, Philippines —The country will have fair weather in the next 24 hours as the low pressure area (LPA) within the Philippine Area of Responsibility was expected to dissipate either on Friday or Saturday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Wednesday. The LPA outside PAR has already dissolved, weather specialist Chenel Dominguez said. "Expect warm and humid weather, especially during noon and afternoon. Isolated rain showers and localized thunderstorms are also possible," Dominguez said. The temperature could peak at 39°C in Tuguegarao and 35°C in Metro Manila. Dominguez said the heat index, or the temperature felt by the human body when relative humidity combines with actual air temperature, could peak at 45 °C in Echague, Isabela; Camiling, Tarlac; and Butuan City, Agusan del Norte. The heat index in parts of Metro Manila could reach 40°C to 42°C.
