Anand Mahindra highlighted Jodhpur’s net-zero cooling shelter, a simple yet powerful climate-resilient public space that reduces temperatures by up to 8°C without air conditioning through smart passive design like solar panels, reflective roofing, insulation, khus curtains, and wind towers. Built under the Heat Action Plan by Mahila Housing Trust and Jodhpur Nagar Nigam, it offers relief to outdoor workers and vulnerable citizens with shaded seating, drinking water, ORS, and basic first aid.
