Indian nabbed with smuggled cigarettes in Mountain Province

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan — Police on Tuesday arrested a 33-year-old Indian trader after 97 reams of allegedly smuggled cigarettes were seized from him in an operation in Barangay Kin-iway in Besao, Mountain Province. Mountain Province police reported to the Cordillera regional office that the Indian national, whose name was withheld due to data privacy, yielded 82 reams Modern Red cigarettes, 15 reams of Modern Lights cigarettes and additional 10 packs of Modern Red cigarettes.
