"US President Donald Trump arrived in Beijing on Wednesday ahead of a state visit to China, as both sides prepared for high-level talks. Footage captured at Beijing Capital International Airport shows Air Force One landing on the runway, where students and a military band welcome the president. Chinese Vice President Han Zheng greeted Trump, who was seen receiving flowers from a young child. The landmark visit, including talks with China's Xi Jinping, comes on May 13-15. It marks the first visit by a US leader in almost a decade. The two last met in Busan, South Korea in October, where they hit 'pause' on an escalating tariffs war. Trade talks this time will see the US keen to extend China's suspension of export controls on rare earths - agreed last time around - as well as potential deals on planes, agriculture and energy. Discussions are also predicted to cover the Iran war - which Trump repeatedly insisted would be resolved before his visit - and potentially Taiwan too."
