Magnitude 5.3 quake jolts Cagayan; aftershocks expected – Phivolcs

MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 5.3 earthquake struck the waters northwest off Dalupiri Island in Calayan, Cagayan early Thursday morning, state seismologists said. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology’s (Phivolcs) latest advisory, no damage is expected from the earthquake, but aftershocks may occur.
