MANILA, Philippines – The majority bloc of Lopez Inc. has withdrawn its earlier resolution removing Federico “Piki” Lopez as president and CEO, opening the door for possible family discussions. In a statement on Thursday, the Lopez majority led by Eugenio “Gabby” Lopez III said the move could allow family members to “step back” and reconsider their adversarial positions. The 71-percent majority bloc said the case remains pending before the Court of Appeals, where the lifting of an injunction is being sought.
