Proposal for posthumous Padma Vibhushan to Olympian Khashaba Jadhav sent to Centre: Maharashtra govt

The Maharashtra government has informed the Bombay High Court about a proposal for the posthumous Padma Vibhushan award for wrestler Khashaba Dadasaheb Jadhav. Jadhav was India's first individual Olympic medalist. The government will also submit a fresh proposal for the Padma Awards 2027. The court is hearing a Public Interest Litigation filed by Jadhav's son's foundation.
