Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa’s batchmates at the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) on Thursday pledged support for their “mistah” amid controversies surrounding attempts to capture the lawmaker over an International Criminal Court arrest warrant. At least 78 members of Sinagtala Class of 1986 stood behind their batchmate and vouched for his person as evidenced by their years together. “We, The members of the Philippine Military Academy “SINAGTALA” Class of 1986, whose name appear below, stand united in firm and unwavering support for our classmate, Senator Ronald “Bato” Marapon Dela Rosa,” the group said in a statement. “We know him not only by name, rank, or public office. We know him by the years we spent together under the discipline, hardship, and brotherhood of the Academy. We know the weight of his character, the measure of his loyalty, and the strength of his resolve,” the class said. “In this time when his name is being challenged and his actions placed under scrutiny, we do not stand silent. We stand with him,” the class said.
