Nartatez vows 'no special treatment' for Dela Rosa

MANILA, Philippines — Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. vowed “no special treatment” for Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, a former PNP chief and a fellow Philippine Military Academy (PMA) graduate. Dela Rosa is the subject of an International Criminal Court (ICC) warrant seeking his arrest in connection with its investigation into President Rodrigo Duterte’s war on drugs. However, Interior and Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla, whose department oversees the PNP, said local authorities can only enforce the ICC warrant if coursed through the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol).
