, Philippines — Chemists from the University of the Philippines Diliman College of Science (UPD-CS) have developed an artificial intelligence (AI) tool designed to accelerate the discovery of new antibacterial peptides, which they said could help address antimicrobial resistance. The chemists said antimicrobial resistance continues to make traditional antibiotics less effective worldwide, making the search for new antibacterial treatments increasingly urgent.
