MANILA, Philippines – Axelum Resources Corp. nearly doubled its first-quarter net income to P267 million as higher sales volumes and stronger margins offset global market volatility. In a disclosure on Friday, the listed coconut product manufacturer said net income surged 94 percent, while pre-tax profit climbed 89 percent to P290 million.
