The President of Northern Cyprus, Tufan Erhürman, has announced that the entry bans on more than 15 Turkish Cypriots, whose entry into Türkiye had been blocked, have been lifted. Critically evaluating the development, the 4th President, Mustafa Akıncı, emphasised that these individuals owe no debt of gratitude to anyone; on the contrary, it is a matter of a violation of rights. The presence of individuals who only became aware of the restriction following official notification has formalised the uncertainty regarding the scope of the "blacklist."
