Ombudsman to probe Senate shooting incident

MANILA, Philippines — The Office of the Ombudsman will conduct its own investigation on the shooting incident inside the Senate last May 13, Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla said on Friday.  Remulla said the separate investigation would allay public fears of a whitewashing of the incident. “We’re in the process of forming a panel.
