Cebu weather: Localized thunderstorms expected, heat index at 41°C

LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu — Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms may affect Cebu this weekend, the state weather bureau reported on Saturday, May 16. According to the Visayas Pagasa Regional Services Division (PRSD), current conditions are due to Localized Thunderstorms—a brief, localized weather event caused by intense heating. Similar weather is expected in the rest of the Visayas, Palawan, including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.
