"Pro-Palestine activists blocked a major freight rail route linked to the Port of Rotterdam on Saturday, disrupting transport operations in protest against the alleged transfer of weapons to Israel through the Netherlands. Footage shows protesters lying and sitting on the railway tracks, burning flares, speaking through megaphones and chanting. Some demonstrators wore masks or chained themselves to the line as police moved in to remove protesters and carry out arrests. Officers handcuffed several demonstrators, dragging them away from the tracks, while at least one protester was transported from the scene on a stretcher. Other scenes showed police patting down detainees and escorting arrested protesters toward waiting police vehicles. According to local authorities, the action also caused restrictions on nearby transport routes. The Port of Rotterdam is Europe's busiest seaport and a key logistics hub for freight transport across the continent."
