P1.49-million illegal drugs, gun seized in Iloilo City

ILOILO CITY — A 46-year-old man was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bakhaw, Mandurriao here on Monday evening, yielding about P1.49 million worth of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) and a firearm. The operation, carried out at 6:20 p.m., was led by the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) under Police Capt. Roque C. Gimeno III, and supported by the Iloilo Maritime Police Station, the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) SWAT team, and the Station Drug Enforcement Team of Police Station 10.
