Visayas thunderstorms to persist; Iloilo, Negros heat index at 36°C

ILOILO CITY — Warm and humid conditions will continue across most parts of the Visayas, with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms expected due to localized thunderstorms and easterlies, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) Visayas on Monday afternoon. In its forecast valid from 5 p.m. Monday to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Pagasa said skies across the region will be partly cloudy to cloudy, with brief but possibly heavy thunderstorms likely to develop in the afternoon or evening.
