Bahrain’s team continued its strong performance at the 4th Gulf Cooperation Council Games in Doha, which run until May 22, with national teams delivering strong results across multiple sports. The medal tally has now reached 55 medals, including 23 gold, 20 silver and 12 bronze. In handball, Bahrain secured a dominant 36–25 victory over Saudi Arabia, showing strong defensive organisation and fast counter-attacks. The result set up a decisive gold medal match against Qatar. In padel, Bahrain recorded its first wins of the tournament. The women’s team defeated Qatar 2–1 after a closely contested tie, while the men’s team beat Saudi Arabia 3–0 without dropping a match. In trap shooting, Bahraini athletes recorded mid-table finishes in the qualification rounds in both men’s and women’s events, with the highest placing being seventh in the women’s competition. In archery, Bahrain opened its campaign with steady performances in a highly competitive field, remaining in contention for higher rankings. In snooker, Bahrain lost 3–1 to Oman in the 15-ball event but will look to recover in the next round against the UAE.
