Ex-village official, 2 LGU workers nabbed in Surigao drug den bust

TANDAG CITY, Surigao del Sur — A former barangay kagawad (village councilor) and two local government unit (LGU) job order workers were arrested after authorities dismantled a suspected drug den in Purok Lutos, Barangay Quezon, Mainit, Surigao del Norte on Monday afternoon. The anti-illegal drug operation was jointly conducted by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 13 (PDEA-13) Surigao del Norte Provincial Office, the Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Office–Provincial Intelligence Unit, the Mainit Municipal Police Station, and the Surigao del Norte Seaport Interdiction Unit.
