An Islamabad sessions court on Tuesday announced its verdict in the TikToker Sana Yousaf murder case, sentencing accused Umar Hayat to death, Aaj News reported. Additional Sessions Judge Afzal Majoka delivered the reserved verdict, awarding the death penalty to the convict. According to the case details, Hayat allegedly entered the home of 17-year-old TikToker in Islamabad’s Sector G-13 on June 3 and shot her dead. The accused belongs to Faisalabad. More than 50 hearings were held in the case. The charge sheet included a list of 31 witnesses, while 27 witnesses recorded their statements before the court. The victim’s mother and paternal aunt testified as eyewitnesses to the incident. The court had indicted Hayat on September 20 last year, while the prosecution’s first witness recorded testimony on September 25. The TikToker girl was widely known for her social media presence, with nearly 800,000 followers on TikTok and around 500,000 followers on Instagram.
