MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Audit (COA) has junked the petition of insurance firms to claim over P1.5 billion in allegedly unremitted insurance premiums of state-run Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF) or Pag-IBIG Fund. In a 17-page decision dated March 17, 2026, the COA’s en banc denied the petition for the money claim due to the lack of documentary requirements by the petitioner, Insurance Pool, as well as the lack of mention of a monetary award by the arbitration committee.
