MANILA – If you hop on a modern jeepney or bus marked “Service Contracting Program”, you’re entitled to a discount of 20 to 40 percent. But the program is running only until this week. The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) announced on Tuesday, May 19 the end of the Service Contracting Program (SCP) for land-based public utility vehicles (PUV). It will officially wrap up at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, May 22.
